Juan Cardenas

Under the nickname Desautomatas, Mexican artist and writer Juan Cardenas has been developing an artistic career for the last 20 years, focusing on the concept of reevaluating things. Exit comfort zones and automatic views, looking to portray original ideas.

He has exhibited his art in different cities and has collaborated in multiple media.

He lives and works in Las Vegas since 2011, where he burst onto the local art scene with different photography projects. In April 2019, he was invited to be the Featured Artist at the Las Vegas First Friday Festival, the third largest art festival of its kind in the United States with his “Voluntary Nakedness” project.
