Las Vegas second edition of RISE Lantern Festival was a total success, behind were the problems of the first one, that even with the inconveniences was a beautiful event. The 2015 edition, with a new location and better logistics, was nothing but pleasure. here’s a full photo gallery and a video of what I think is one of the best experiences you can have in Vegas.
Rhyolite was once called “The Chicago from the South”. Founded in 1904 after discovering quartz all over a hill, it come to down and was abandoned in 1916. The population shrunk to fourteen by the beginning of 1920 and by then was already considered a ghost town. The last resident died in 1924. Rhyolite is now one of the most attractive ghost towns in the state of Nevada.
