Taking “Punk” to the Masses

I have never considered Nirvana a punk band. First because punk’s death, for quite some time actually, and second because they were part of a moment and time in music industry so commercial and popular, that goes against everything punk fought.

I was, I am and will be Nirvana’s fan, but they were a rock band, simple as that. Even so EMP Museum is presenting the most large exhibition of Nirvana memorabilia “celebrating the music and history of Seattle grunge luminaries”. Unseen and unedited artifacts and photography from the band, concert, crew, families, etc; with the name Nirvana: Taking Punk to the Masses, opened since last April.

If you are fan like me and don’t care about the motive, and just want to see big Nirvana exhibit 20 years after Nevermind; and you are or will be in Seattle before April 22, 2013 (you have time) go to see EMP Museum – Nirvana: Taking Punk to the Masses.
